At Kilternan School of Music (KSM) we aim to deliver the best music education possible in a fun, friendly and enthusiastic environment. We have a fantastic team of teachers, all qualified in their field, with a passion for music and more importantly a passion for teaching. Music Classes

We teach a wide variety of instruments to students young and old, some in group settings and others in private one on one lessons

Violinist Andrew Sheeran graduated from the RIA with a First Class Honours degree in 2015

Ann O’Neill

Ann has over 20 years experience teaching piano to children and adults

Clodagh Clarke

Clodagh has over 20 years experience teaching and has been with KSM since 2007

Danny Roe

Danny has taught large and small groups and individuals from the age of 4 to adults of all ages

Gavin is an Educator, Performer and Songwriter from Dublin.

 Latvian pianist Didzis Kalniņš is currently studying for a Doctorate in Music performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Frieda Freytag

Frieda encourages her students to explore improvisation, composition and, the joy of making music together

Heather has been teaching piano to young people of all ages for over 12 years

Joan is a professional singer and vocal coach with many years experience performing & teaching internationally

Mary Walsh

Mary is a passionate music educator and believes that music is for everyone. Her goal is to help people connect with music while building a solid understanding of music and it’s entirety.

Martin Meegan

Martin Meegan is a dedicated music educator and enthusiastic performer, being a proficient flautist, clarinettist and saxophonist

Mark Nutley

Mark Nutley joined the Defence Force’s in September 2015 but his musical career started long before this when at eight years old he joined the Drogheda Brass Band.

Annliesa Evans

Annaliesa is a passionate advocate of holistic music and performing arts education and has taught piano for over 15 years.

Peter Moc

Peter has been teaching many styles of guitar, composition, music theory & arranging since 2008

Victoria Whittam

Victoria has been teaching piano for over 19 years. Her students often start from a very young age, and she has taken many total beginners all the way to diploma standard

Angela Qiao
Angela holds a Master of Music from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Music with Honours from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Tanya Plavans

Tatiana Plavans was born in Moldova. She was graduated from Minsk State Conservatory in Belarus. Principal Violist in the Kishinev Opera Theatre Orchestra ( Moldova ).

John Caffrey

John Caffrey is a dedicated and experienced guitarist and teacher based in Dublin. With over 25 years playing experience John has performed as a guitarist in a variety of genres including rock, pop, blues and classical and across a wide range of settings from Vicar street to the National Concert Hall.

Roisin Lowry

Roisin Lowry is a music teacher, performer, composer and arranger, with experience in piano, violin and vocals. Roisin holds a B.Mus from UCC as well as a M.Sc. from DCU. She has also completed a DipLCM in Piano Performance from the London College of Music.

Sarah Clare

Sarah Clare has been teaching flute and recorder since 2012. Her career in music education started with the award winning Ardee Concert Band as their recorder group coordinator and tutor. She completed her degree in music performance in TU Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Ciaran O’ Connell.
